QuokkaConnect AI Use & Automated Recommendations Notice

QuokkaConnect uses Anthropic's API to match members with one another and to match member groups with events. This notice describes the v1 matching use. It does not authorize a new AI use, new data category, or new provider.

1. What the AI feature does

Anthropic's API is used to match members with other members and to match groups with events. The AI matching output can affect the matches, groups, and events presented through the matching feature.

2. Information sent to Anthropic

For matching, QuokkaConnect may send member and event information to Anthropic, except a member's name, age, gender, and address. Matching requests are purpose-built from the information needed for matching; QuokkaConnect does not send an entire member-profile schema or record. We do not send account credentials or authentication secrets.

3. How outputs are used

Outputs are used to operate the matching feature and may affect the matches, groups, and events presented to a member. Jack Cooksey and Alyssa Yang are responsible for testing, incident handling, and ongoing monitoring of this use.

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Members should not rely on an AI output as professional, emergency, safety, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

4. Member choices and controls

Members cannot opt out of AI processing for matching because the matching feature requires it. Members may change or remove available profile information and make privacy or deletion requests as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Provider configuration and retention

QuokkaConnect uses Anthropic's API. The provider plan name and other commercial configuration details are not a public feature of this Notice. We will update this Notice and the Privacy Policy before a provider configuration changes the data sent, purpose, retention, training use, or sharing described here.

QuokkaConnect does not persist matching request bodies or raw Anthropic outputs as a separate AI history. Resulting proposal and response records follow the account retention and seven-day deletion schedule. Operational logs contain metadata only and expire after 14 days. Provider-side processing is governed by the applicable Anthropic terms and configuration.

6. Accuracy, safety, and human oversight

Jack Cooksey and Alyssa Yang own testing before release, monitoring, incident escalation, and output handling for the AI matching use.

We may limit, change, suspend, or remove an AI feature if it presents a safety, privacy, quality, or compliance concern.

7. Changes to this Notice

We will update this Notice before materially changing the provider, data sent, purpose, or how AI outputs affect members. For a material change, we will provide notice by email before the change takes effect.
